At Hamilton Run we are continuing production of Poll Merino sheep with sound constitution and animals which have the ability to grow a heavy cutting fleece of highly waxed white wool suitable for all environments. We also strive to produce sheep with a high performance level of production by balancing fertility, body weights and fleece weights to provide clients with profitable results.
Hamilton Run Poll Merino rams are sold to all areas of SA, Victoria and NSW. At the 2011 combined auctions Hamilton Run sold 150 rams for an average of $1600. 2011 sale highlights include the private sale of HR990 to the Klowss family at Natimuk for $10,000. Other highlights were the sale of the top two rams at the HR Southern sale for $6300 and $6200 to the Grant family, Vite Vite, and a private sale at $5000 to the Bray family at Jamestown.
